David Z - o silêncio do baixo aos 38 anos

DAVID Z era baixista dos Adrenaline Mob e da Trans-Siberian Orchestra, quando, no dia 14 de Julho de 2017 sofreu um fatídico acidente em tournée, quando a banda (Adrenaline Mob) se deslocava para um concerto, em São Petesburgo, na Florida, Estados Unidos. A viatura da banda, que estava encostada na berma da estrada, perto da cidade de Micanopy, para mudar um pneu, foi abalroada por um camião, tendo-se incendiado após o embate. Vários elementos da banda ficaram feridos, mas apenas DAVID Z e a tour manager Jane Train não resistiram aos ferimentos.
Oriundo de uma família de músicos, David Zablidowsky, de ascendência judaica, era natural de Brooklyn, Nova Iorque, em muito cedo aprendeu a tocar guitarra, influência do irmão mais velho (Paulie). Foi com o irmão que fundou a primeira banda - os ZO2 - e que ficou conhecida graças à visibilidade de um programa de televisão, tendo sido o impulso para que fossem convidados a abrir para os KISS
Músico multi-facetado, para além de baixista exemplar, DAVID Z tocava bateria, piano e guitarra, e trabalhou com vários músicos ao vivo e em estúdio.
Participou, em 1999, com a sua banda October Thorns, numa convenção para fãs de Savatage - a SavaCon - onde não passou despercebido a Jon Oliva e Chris Caffery. Foi Chris Caffery, quem, passado um ano, o convidou para integrar a Trans -Siberian Orchestra.
Rubix Cube foi outro projecto em que participou, mas foi com S.O.T.O., do vocalista Jeff Scott Soto, que visitou Portugal, a 3 de Abril de 2016, para um concerto no RCA.
Numa entrevista recente, Mike Orlando, guitarrista dos Adrenaline Mob, refere estar ainda a recuperar do acidente, que lhe deixou lesões ao nível do pescoço (foi submetido à quarta cirurgia no passado mês de Março). Em relação ao regresso dos Adrenaline Mob, nada está ainda decidido.

DAVID Z was bassist for the Adrenaline Mob and Trans-Siberian Orchestra, when on July 14, 2017 he suffered a fateful touring accident as the band (Adrenaline Mob) moved to a concert in St. Petersburg, Florida, U.S. The band's car, which was stopped at the side of the road, near the town of Micanopy, to change a tire, was struck by a truck and set on fire after the crash. Several members of the band were injured, but only DAVID Z and tour manager Jane Train couldn't resist their injuries.
Born of a family of musicians, David Zablidowsky, of Jewish descent, was a native of Brooklyn, New York, very early learned to play guitar, influence of the elder brother (Paulie). It was with his brother that he founded the first band - the ZO2 - and that he became known thanks to the visibility of a television program, and itwas the impulse for them to be invited to open for the KISS
A multi-faceted musician, as well as an exemplary bassist, DAVID Z played drums, piano and guitar, and worked with several musicians live and in the studio.
He participated in 1999 with his band October Thorns at a convention for fans of Savatage - SavaCon - where it didn't go unnoticed by Jon Oliva and Chris Caffery. It was Chris Caffery who, one year later, invited him to join the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Rubix Cube was another project in which he participated, but it was with S.O.T.O., vocalist Jeff Scott Soto, that he visited Portugal, on April 3, 2016, for a concert at the RCA.
In a recent interview, Mike Orlando, guitarist for the Adrenaline Mob, said he was still recovering from the accident, which left him with several neck injuries (he underwent fourth surgery last March). About the return of the Adrenaline Mob, nothing is yet decided.
